Lost & found

We were very excited to run around the fashion capitol of Italy with Grandma.  She has excellent fashion sense.  We started the morning (late again!) by strolling down Via Dante, a pedestrian-only street that runs from the Castello Sforzesco to the Piazzalle Cordusio.  It is also lined with cafés, theaters and clothing stores.  And, as it happens, the summer sales had started.

So, we shopped.  And then we went to see Nicole's former Google colleague, Marilu.  She treated us to ice cream!  Then, a few more stores, a stop for lunch, a few more stores....

And then, tragedy struck.  ABC Caterpillar went missing.  You remember, Anna's most beloved toy, given to her by her sister, cherished in cities around the world.  Lost, somewhere in Milan.

After we went through every store.  After Marilu searched the entire Google office.  After we had many, many tears that even limone gelato could not relieve.  We found him.  Held safe until our return at the restaurant where we had lunch.

We have made many promises not to lose track of ABC again.  All is right in the world.
